Really smooth animation, well done. Unfortunately I know EXACTLY where I remember the song from.

MintyZedGrimes responds:

Thank you very much! And yeah, these songs stick with ya haha

The music right away drowns out the dialogue. Filmora 9 can be used to fix this when stitching the audio in, but it does cost money if you wanna remove the watermark.

Otherwise rather entertaining.

ReBlueGrounds responds:

Thanks! 😆
I edited this with Windows Movie Maker.
Oh and I accidentally rated it 5 stars by myself. Well, my mistake! 😊

Typically frame by frame gives smoother results while being harder to animate, which is why the onion skin tool is often used.

This early on I would recommend playing with vector animation as well, Synfig is the most powerful free software I've seen for this.

And who knows you might like vector better or hybridize and use frame by frame for the major movements, while adding details with vector.

Either way keep up the good work it only gets easier from here.

Number624 responds:

Thank you and thank you for the tip ^^

You should probably edit the doors so they can be opened from more than just the handle. I get the hyper realism aspect but most people don't have to look at a doorknob to open it they know where it is when they approach the door and rely on hand eye coordination to grab it when they enter.

But if you're intent on keeping it that way and want to add a new obstacle for the player to handle when they feel rushed just have a triggers set in random areas that swap what side the knob is on. It'll kill just a second or two of the players time while being horribly confusing making the player second guess themselves.

pixelrogueart responds:

Makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the tip, I'll se what I can do to make it better :).

Pretty good animation. Nice and smooth. If you wanna improve the line work a bit what helped me out was to do the colors first and use the outline to go over any mistake. And switching to vector instead of drawn.

Keep up the great work.

Haase2D responds:

I dont really like vector personally, but thank you for the feedback

Well the animation didn't crash I didn't get banned randomly and it was all finished. So I'ld say you made a better product than Bethesda.

DuckDuck1ngton responds:

thanks man

I remember stickfights from the good old days of youtube animation. Personally I think they start with a screenshot and chop it up in the animation program itself.

TrueJamenboi responds:

Ah, yes. The golden ages. I'll be using the screenshot method in the future.

Never thought to animate sketches looks great.

SirJakobos responds:

Thank you!

Great animation, reminded me of the old stick fight animations I used to watch. Try to watch the feet so they don't slide on the ground. And either cram in more frames or increase the bitrate when rendering to make it feel smoother. Otherwise GREAT work hope to see more like this.

KiloLee responds:

Thanks for the feedback!
I still have much to learn and the feet is definitely one of my areas where I need to work on.

Do you foil fill your puppets if you don't it can reduce the weight and add rigidity at the same time. Otherwise I really liked the stop motion drawing as well.

JonathanGV responds:

Oh I didn't know that, thanks for the tip! And glad you liked it!!

My only goal is to make people laugh if it's good enough to make me a living yay, if not oh well.
